Dr Jordaan’s Christmas Message
Danny Jordaan Sends Christmas Wishes
South African Football Association President, Dr Danny Jordaan, has come out to wish the entire football fraternity and supporters well for the festive season.
Jordaan told Soccer Laduma that while the Senior National Team, Bafana Bafana failed to qualify for the FIFA World Cup in Russia next year, most national teams had done well on the international front.
"The Association is normally judged by the performance of Bafana Bafana and we have to admit that we were all disappointed because we all believed we had the squad and quality to be part of Russia 2018," said Jordaan.
However, there have been huge positives to draw from as other national teams have done well. These include most of our junior national teams and Banyana Banyana.
Both the women's U-20 national team, Basetsana, and the women's U-17 national team Bantwana are on the verge of qualifying for the FIFA World Cup in their respective age groups.
“I would like to extend my well wishes to the football fraternity and most importantly to football supporters across the country,” said Jordaan to Soccer Laduma.
“SAFA would like to extend its heartfelt gratitude for the unwavering support expressed by all football loving supporters. From all of us at SAFA we wish you a Merry Christmas and prosperous New Year,” concluded the SAFA President.
