Clayton Daniels says he has no point to prove as Bloemfontein Celtic tackle Mamelodi Sundowns in the Telkom Knockout on Sunday.
The Bishop Lavis-born defender joined Phunya Sele Sele on the last day of the transfer window after being deemed surplus to requirements by Pitso Mosimane. In a Soccer-Laduma interview after that, Daniels slammed the club, saying that they had treated him badly.
The no-nonsense Daniels will be keen to put one over Sundowns, who beat them 3-1 in their opening game of the season, but he says it will be a normal day at the office for him and his teammates.
“I have no point to prove. I will treat this just like any other game. It’s going to be a tough game, make no mistake, as they’ve got quality strikers. But I have to do my job, focus for the whole game and help my team win,” he told the Siya crew.
