Amakhosi Star On Chiefs’ Style Change

Daniel Cardoso thinks that Kaizer Chiefs are now playing more attacking football under Giovanni Solinas, and hopes that it will serve them well against Bidvest Wits tomorrow.
The 29-year-old centre back played a big role for the Glamour Boys in 2017/18, and it looks as though he will also be key to Solinas’ plans going into the new season, playing 90 minutes as they drew 1-1 with Mamelodi Sundowns on the opening day.
Now, with their clash against Masandawana out of the way, Cardoso has set his sights on getting a good result in their first home game of the campaign when they host the Clever Boys at FNB Stadium on Tuesday evening.
Speaking to the club’s official website, the defender said, “We will go into the game with a positive mindset… We will be looking for the three points. It’s our first match at home and we want to do well. We are playing more attacking football and let’s hope that our positive approach will be rewarded come Tuesday.”
Meanwhile, on the topic of their draw with Sundowns over the weekend, Cardoso said, “We performed well, it was a good start to the season, achieving a point away against the reigning league champions. We dominated the game, playing with confidence.”
Chiefs host Wits at 19h30 tomorrow night.
