The Siya crew can reveal that Dutch coach, Pieter de Jongh, will no longer be coming to South Africa to coach FC Cape Town, after failing to secure a work-permit.
The National First Division club announced the appointment of De Jongh as their head coach last month.
However, the Dutchman has been yet to officially start his coaching duties at the club, after a failure to secure his paperwork.
Craig Rosslee, who is the technical director at the Mother City outfit, has been standing in for the Dutchman as the coach of the side in their opening games of the season.
With the news that De Jongh will no longer be coaching the side, the Siya crew has been informed that Rosslee will continue being the team’s stand-in coach, while doubling up with his role as the technical director.
Under the former AmaZulu and Moroka Swallows coach, the team is 15th on the NFD log with no wins so far this season.
The team has drawn once and lost two times in their opening three games of the season and collected just one point from a possible nine.
