Soccer-Laduma has learnt that Erwin Isaacs took no part in training with the Wits first team earlier this week.
This is after the striker, now in his second season with the Clever Boys, was obliged to honour a court date over an undisclosed personal matter.
Exact details of the 26-year-old’s court appearance have not been made available to the media, however Wits’ CEO, Jose Ferreira, revealed that the legal issue in question is not a serious one.
Ferreira explained to the Siya crew. He said, “Erwin wasn’t at training last Monday because he had to go to court. It wasn’t a serious matter. The club were aware he wouldn’t be at training.”
The talented forward has since resumed training as Gavin Hunt’s men get ready for the 2013/14 campaign.
