Krol Offered To Kaizer Chiefs
Former Orlando Pirates head coach, Ruud Krol, has been offered to Kaizer Chiefs should they decide to pull the plug on Steve Komphela’s time at the club.
Chiefs take on Highlands Park this evening as they look to avoid going seven Absa Premiership matches without a win, and pressure seems to be mounting on their head coach with every passing game.
As reported in this week’s issue of Soccer Laduma, Krol – who had a successful treble-winning spell with the Buccaneers – could be on Chiefs’ list of potential candidates if Komphela is given his marching orders, with the Dutchman open to a return to South Africa.
The Siya crew has previously revealed that ‘emergency’ talks have been held at Naturena, with Komphela being told that results need to improve or he faces the chop.
Krol has also been linked with the Bafana Bafana job if Shakes Mashaba was to be fired, although for now it looks as though SAFA will be sticking with their man.
It is thought that Chiefs’ head coach does have the club’s backing for the time being, however, if things don’t improve against Highlands Park this evening, then Krol could well become part of their plans.
