He’s shared the field with the likes of Lionel Messi, Paul Pogba and many more, but could Kaizer Chiefs or Orlando Pirates be the next destination for this African Cup of Nations winner?
Vincent Enyeama had a long, successful career in Europe, making a name for himself at Lille in Ligue 1 while also having stints with Maccabi Tel Aviv and Hapoel Tel Aviv over the past decade or so.
The 37-year-old Nigerian has been without a club since leaving Lille back in 2018, but he’s not given up hope on getting back out onto the field at a good level, hinting that a switch to the Absa Premiership is certainly not off the cards.
Speaking to African Football HQ, the Super Eagles' most-capped player said, "Yeah, why not? Johannesburg is a good place to be… If there's an opportunity to play at Chiefs or Pirates, why not? Football is my life, football is my blood and if there is an opportunity to play and the terms and details are okay and my family and wife are okay with it, then we move."
Enyeama has made around 500 appearances for club and country over the course of his career, but it remains to be seen what it would take for the former Super Eagle to add to that tally in South Africa.
Would you have 'The Pastor' at Chiefs or Pirates?
