Confirmed: SuperSport Tie Down Second Choice

SuperSport United have moved quickly to secure the services of one of their players for the next three seasons.

Boalefa Pule, who is the club’s second choice goalkeeper, has penned a new three-year deal with the Tshwane outfit as confirmed by the club’s official social media channels.

“SuperSport United is pleased to announce that Boalefa Pule has signed a three-year extension which will see him at the club until 2023. “

The 30-year-old hasn’t made a single appearance for Kaitano Tembo’s side this season, with newly elected captain Ronwen Williams being an ever-present between the sticks.

The former Bidvest Wits and AmaZulu goalkeeper received high praise from the club’s CEO Stan Matthews for his professionalism.

“It’s not easy for a goalkeeper who is sitting behind the most capped player and captain at his club to maintain the highest levels of professionalism and consistency. Boalefa is now one of our longest-serving players and we are delighted that our goalkeeping department has the depth that it does. It’s also a great credit to the way Andre Arendse runs his goalkeeping section that we have fierce competition in all our squads including our academy where we have two of the best young under-15 keepers we have ever had coming through the ranks to be Ronwen's and Boalefa’s of the future,” Matthews said.

The club is also said to be considering the future of veteran shot stopper Washington Arubi at the end of the season.
