SuperSport United have confirmed the capture of Bafana Bafana international Buhle Mkhwanazi, who is back in the DStv Premiership after a one-year hiatus.
Matsatsantsa have been yearning for a player to solidify their defensive frailties and in the 31-year-old, they have got their man!
The club confirmed via their official social media channels that the former Bidvest Wits skipper has penned a one-year deal with an option to renew for a further year.
"We are delighted to announce the signature of defender Buhle Mkhwanazi on a one-year deal with option to renew," the club statement wrote.
As reported by the Siya crew, the defender has been training with the Tshwane giants for the last few weeks and by his own admission, coach Kaitano Tembo has been impressed by Mkhwanazi's fitness levels, despite having last played a match in August last year.
Club CEO Stan Matthews was full of praise for the club's first acquisition of the transfer window.
