SuperSport United have confirmed that former Platinum Stars coach Cavin Johnson will be taking over the reigns as head coach of Matsatsantsa.
SuperSport have been without a head coach since parting ways with Gavin Hunt at the end of May. Hunt has since moved on to Wits, while SuperSport have been negotiating with Johnson.
Johnson struggled to get out of his contract with Platinum Stars, who were unwilling to let him out of his contract for free. After much back and forth talks between the two parties, they finally reached an agreement, opening up his move to Matsatsantsa.
The Siya crew broke the news earlier today, when a source confirmed Johnson's move to Supersport. The club has now officially confirmed the news in a press conference.
