Some of AmaZulu’s upcoming PSL opponents, including Mpumalanga Black Aces, Bidvest Wits and Chippa United should prepare for tough games against the KZN outfit, if word coming out of the club is anything to go by.
Usuthu are oozing with confidence at the moment, following their impressive 5-2 win over SuperSport United last weekend.
AmaZulu coach, Steve Barker, says his side can win their remaining league games and move away from the relegation zone.
“I think this victory was just a testimony of all the hard work we have been putting in of late. I think the difference this time is that we used the opportunities we had created.
“If we continue putting in such performances, we can win all the matches that we have remaining in this league. At some stage I thought it was going to be that recurring movie but suddenly things changed. My team put in a good performance and it was a well-deserved victory.
“I am happy with the strikers, the only area to work on is the defence, we cannot be conceding soft goals like those because it’s not every match where we will rise and score five goals.
“I am happy with the performances of the new signings – they are really getting into the momentum now. The confidence from the boys is high and we have what it takes to go back to winning ways. Yes, the other teams ahead of us are not doing well but we must focus on our journey,” Barker told AmaZulu’s official website.
