The DStv Compact Cup captains have vowed not to disappoint football fans as players prepare for the inaugural tournament to be played at Moses Mabhida Stadium.
The PSL and DStv have come together to form a tournament that will see all 16 teams unite and have four clubs from different regions for an exciting and fun tournament.
Makhehleni Makhaula, who has been chosen as the captain of Amabutho, the team combining the DStv Premiership KwaZulu-Natal teams, says this is also an opportunity to help youngsters, as the tournament also feaures MDC players.
"It would make me happy to win this cup. I've always wanted to be coached by Lehlohonolo Seema because his style of football I can relate with," Makhaula said, addressing the media this week.
"We are used to each other, we played indoors with Golden Arrows players and I could see that we are used to each other and can really win this trophy.
"The MDC players will get proper experience with this tournament. It also give them opportunities to learn from senior guys. We must also use this time to groom them and give them advice."

Other captains, Happy Jele from Warriors, Thabo Nodada from Coastal and Sello Motsepe from Dinaledi have promised to make their fans proud and expressed excitment at being in the same team with their premiership rivals.
"I think it is a great tournament, it will mean a lot to me and I would like to add it to my cabinet. It is a great initiative that unites footballers.
"I think we have a great team. It is a bit funny, because some of the Stellenbosch guys we pick at each other during derbies, and come Saturday I'm looking forward to give Du Preez a pass to score. We have a good coach and it is all about the passion for the game.
"It is an honor for me to lead this great team. I believe we will do well and win the trophy for the fans that have shown belief in us."
The first round of games will be at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday with the second round set to take place at tje FNB Stadium the following weekend.
