Mbesuma has been without a club since parting ways with Highlands Park at the end of last season.

The former Kaizer Chiefs striker has joined Maccabi FC in Gauteng’s ABC Motsepe League. The 34-year-old Zambian has been signed by the team to assist them in their chase for promotion to the NFD at the end of the season.

The Gauteng-based team is under the guidance of former Chiefs defender Mokete Tsotetsi, who is doing well as their coach.

The team is at the top of the log, and with a good chance of qualifying for the promotional play-offs at the end of the season.

it is so amazing how people can criticise this guy for joining a third tier club, this guy has made in life and he would love to pass his knowledge to younger lads and this will improve the level of south african football as this guys will have the required skills and ability from grass roots. i dearly wish people could refrain from being this negative and contribute in empowiring each other about the knowledge of soccer.
