SuperSport United have extended the contracts of two key players, handing fresh deals to both Clayton Daniels and Reneilwe Letsholonyane.
It was revealed recently that Daniels, 33, and 'Yeye', 35, had put pen to paper on new deals in Tshwane, although the lengths of those contracts were not confirmed by the club.
The Siya crew did some digging to discover that the centre back has been given a straight two-year deal that will take him past his 35th birthday, while Letsholonyane's new contract is a one-year deal with a one-year option that could potentially see him through until he's 37.
SuperSport's CEO, Stan Matthews, heaped praise on the duo after deciding to extend their deals, saluting them for their efforts since moving to Matsatsantsa.
In a statement, Matthews said, “Yeye and Clayton have shown tremendous commitment to the club and have been heavily involved in our success over the last few years. Players like them are few and far between, both have had long careers and just seem to keep going and going, they both represent the ambitions and vision of the club.
“With fantastic performances and an eye on the development of younger players, it is a pleasure to reward their efforts with contract extensions.”
