News filtering through to the Siya crew’s desk is that Polokwane City, in hunting for a head coach, have shifted their focus to Manqoba Mngqithi.
The crew reported earlier in the week that City are looking for a coach and that Clinton Larsen was their primary target. However, the former Blomfontein Celtic tactician has been linked with the Maritzburg United hotseat following Ernst Middendorp's resignation.
A source close to City has revealed that the former Golden Arrows mentor has been targeted, with the news that Larsen could be joining Maritzburg.
The club is aiming to fill vacancy left on the bench after Duncan Lechesa parted ways with the side last month, though the club is yet to make a final decision.
Although Larsen is seen as the favourite to take over at the Team of Choice, Mngqithi has also been linked to the Pietermaritzburg-based side, and as it stands it remains to be seen who will be appointed at both Mariztburg and City.
