A host of PSL clubs are reportedly vying for the signature of Polokwane City midfielder Mothusi Gopane after the youngster displayed some splendid performances for the NFD side this season.
Defending league champions Orlando Pirates, Mamelodi Sundowns and Free State Stars are said to be eyeing the talented player. The 20-year-old recently set tongues wagging with his impressive performances in the Philly’s Games, held in Tembisa during the Christmas break.
However, according to the player’s boss Tincy Tema, who is the chief operations officer at the Limpopo-based outfit, there have been no official enquiries regarding the player’s availability.
“No one has ever approached us about the player so far. We haven’t received any calls from anyone enquiring about the player. But it’s something that we hear about from people and we can’t say it’s true because we haven’t received any calls from anyone.
“The boy is with us. As I’m speaking he is in camp training with the team. Fortunately, the boy is contracted to the team. He’s got a long-term contract with the team. I can confirm that we haven’t spoken to anyone,” said Tema.
