Katongo Mum On Future
Former Golden Arrows striker and Zambia captain, Christopher Katongo, is tight-lipped on his future.
Katongo is currently clubless following the expiry of his four-month loan deal with relegated PSL club Golden Arrows.
"On teams interested in me, I have no comment," Katongo said.
Zambian media recently reported that Orlando Pirates have been tracking the 2012 Africa Cup winning captain.
The 31-year-old ex-Jomo Cosmos striker has returned to the continent after stints in Denmark at Brondby, Germany where he played for Arminia Bielefeld, and also a stint at Greek club, Xanthi.
Katongo returned to South Africa in January after seeing out his three-year deal with Chinese club, Henan Jianye, last October.
Katongo is currently in camp with the Zambian national team, who are heading to the United States this week ahead of their June 6 friendly against Japan in Tampa, Florida.
Meanwhile, Katongo's ex-coach at Arrows, Shaun Bartlett believes the Zambian striker will have no problems finding a club in the PSL.
"I would agree to have him in my team permanently, but at this moment, we can't afford a player like Chris. In my opinion, he deserves to be in the PSL club, knowing his ability. It would not be beneficial to have him play in the first division," Bartlett said.
