After hearing that Ajax Cape Town and Orlando Pirates are interested in Issa Sarr, Chippa United have initiated talks with the midfielder with a view of extending his stay at the club.
The midfielder, who was signed by the Chilli Boys in February, has performed well for the relegation embattled side and as a result has attracted interest from within the PSL.
A Soccer-Laduma source close to the player disclosed that both Bucs and Ajax are monitoring the player’s situation, however added that Chippa are in talks with him.
“Chippa have heard that other teams want him and they have opened their own talks with him. They want to keep him no matter what happens to the team. The talks have already started and it seems he will stay,” said the source.
The player's agent, Dennis Idrissa, confirmed the interest from within the PSL, although would not disclose who the interested parties are.
“I am in Cape Town talking to Chippa United. They are interested in keeping him. You know he has done well and some PSL teams are interested in him. His current contract ends on June 30 and they want to keep him,” Idrissa explained.
