Chippa United have signed Patrick and Peter Mubayiwa from Witbank Spurs. The Zimbabwean twins have been impressive and consistent with their performances for Spurs in the NFD in the past few seasons.
The two players have been loyal to Siyavutha. The two players are expected to add experience to the midfield of Chippa in the 2014/15 season.
According to information received by the Siya crew, the two players are in the process of relocating to Cape Town with their families and belongings in preparation of the new season.
Spurs chairman, Themba Mafu, confirmed to the Siya crew that the two players have been sold to Chippa.
“Yes, they are leaving. There is an agreement between us and Chippa on condition that their permanent residence permits should be available before they leave. They applied for the permits a while ago. Their (the players) contracts were coming to an end we exercised our option on them."
"The agreement is that they must get their permits before the start of the season. We applied for their documents before they (Chippa) even approached us. It’s two seasons (contracts signed with Chippa).
"I would like to tell them that they have been loyal. They are the soldiers of the game. They love the game. They have an opportunity to go and play in the premier division. We wish them the best. I know that they will make a success out of it,” said Mafu.
