Chippa United are confident of spoiling the party for Mamelodi Sundowns this weekend in their DStv Premiership title chase.
Since the return of Dan Malesela as the head coach of the Eastern Cape outfit, there has been an improvement in the team’s performances and results, with the Chilli Boys having won two and drawn two of their five matches under the former Sundowns youth coach.

In their previous match, the Chilli Boys beat Black Leopards 3-0 in their backyard at the Thohoyandou Stadium, which led to the Limpopo outfit relieving Dylan Kerr of his duties as the team’s head coach.
“We saw the Black Leopards game and we saw that they (Sundowns) are vulnerable also, so we believe we can get points there. It’s (the travelling) been hectic but it’s a sacrifice we must make, and not only we’re sacrificing for the team we love, but also for other teams and the fans that love the team throughout this pandemic we just have to sacrifice and hope for the best,” said Chippa captain Augustine Kwem, speaking through the club’s media department.
