Chippa United feel that they deserved another two goals against Kaizer Chiefs to finish their game as 5-0 winners on the weekend.
Chiefs went down 3-0 to Chippa in their Absa Premiership game played at FNB Stadium on Saturday.
Thabo Rakhale, Mxolisi Macuphu and former Chiefs striker Edward Manqele scored the goals that caused the damage at FNB Stadium.
Speaking to the Siya crew, Chippa’s Peter Koutroulis says the Port Elizabeth team deserved more goals from the game.
“I think we deserved the win, but we were surprised (by) such a high score. At the end of the day, we deserved another two goals at least. But we are happy with the win of (a) high score. The aim now is to focus on our next game, which is against Ajax. Ajax are fighting for survival, but we also need points and we must continue with winning ways,” Koutroulis.
The game for Chippa and Ajax Cape Town will be played at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Sunday.
“We have a chance to finish in the top eight. That will be good for Chippa United, and also for our chairman Mr. (Siviwe) Mpengesi. He (Mpengesi) is spending money on the club and is looking after everybody here well. This (win against Chiefs) is for him and all the team’s supporters from the Eastern Cape,” concluded Koutroulis.
