Chippa United have confirmed another exit from their squad, following the departure of Thabo Rakhale which they announced on Wednesday.
The Chilli Boys have confirmed that Tebogo Makobela has followed the former Orlando Pirates star out of the exit door.
As confirmed by the Eastern Cape club, the 28-year-old player’s contract has not been renewed after it expired on June 30.
“The club wishes to confirm the departure of Tebogo Makobela, his contract has expired. The club will not extend his contract beyond the 2019/20 season. The club would like to thank Tebogo for his service at the Chilli Boys and wish him all the best in his future endeavors,” Chippa confirmed in their statement on the club’s official Twitter account.
Makobela's progress was affected by a career-threatening injury he suffered against Kaizer Chiefs at the end of last season, which left him with a broken leg from a tackle by Teenage Hadebe.
