Following the signings of former Mamelodi Sundowns winger Anthony Laffor and ex-South African youth international Ayabulela Konqobe, Chippa United could be set for another top signing in the coming days.
After their slow start to the 2020/21 season, and making changes to the technical team by replacing Lehlohonolo Seema with Dan Malesela as the head coach, the Chilli Boys are making their intentions clear about the January transfer window, with the club now linked with their former player Thamsanqa Sangweni.

“Thamsanqa Sangweni is back from Swaziland where he has been playing for Mbabane Highlanders and is looking for a return to the PSL in his next move. The player is in talks with Chippa United about a return to the club,” said the source.

“The only thing that can make it take a bit longer for the process to be completed is that he still has a contract with Highlanders although he has been promised that he will be allowed to move on if another opportunity arises for him,” the source added.
