With the play-off game between Santos FC and Mpumalanga Black Aces set to take place tonight at the Cape Town Stadium, one of the play-off teams, Chippa United, have run to the Cape Town High Court to try and stop the play-offs.
This was revealed by the PSL chairman Dr Irvin Khoza, who told a media gathering during the official fixture draw for 2013/14 season that the Chilli Boys have gone to court for an interdiction on the play-offs.
He said, however, they would challenge Chippa's move but will wait for the outcome from the case.
"There was an urgent matter in the Cape Town High Court today at 14:00 where Chippa United wanted the court to stop the play-offs, but as a league we will challenge that as soon as we get the papers concerning why they want the play-offs stopped. But for now that's the situation," Khoza concluded.
Indications are that the game scheduled for tonight will go ahead as planned, as they has yet to be an official announcement stating otherwise.
