Chippa United midfielder Issa Sarr is strongly linked with a move away from the side, although the club is still keen to hold on to him.
The player’s agent, Dennis Idrissa, recently told the Siya crew that the Cape side has made a good offer for the Senegalese. The player’s contract with Chippa expires in June, however the club wants to offer him a new two-year deal to keep him at the team.
News reaching the Siya crew is that there are a few PSL clubs monitoring the player’s situation closely. The clubs have been impressed with the performances of the Senegalese in Chippa’s midfield.
A source close to Chippa confirmed that the club will struggle to convince the player to stay even if they avoid the chop at the end of the playoffs.
Chippa are currently involved in this year’s PSL promotion/relegation playoffs, in their attempt to save the club from going back to the NFD, after just one season in South Africa’s top tier of football.
