Former SuperSport United and Wits midfielder, Masibusane Zongo, is back in the PSL after concluding his deal with Chippa United. Zongo has been signed after impressing the team’s former coach, Farouk Abrahams, at training.
The team’s media officer Lukanyo Mzinzi confirmed that the player has penned a long-term contract. “We have sorted everything regarding Zongo. He is going to play for the club this season. We have agreed on everything. It’s a long-term contract,” said Mzinzi.
The Siya crew has it on good authority that Zongo has penned a two and-a-half year deal with the side. Zongo was previously with Blackburn Rovers in the NFD. The talented midfielder will be expected to help the team claw their way up the Absa Premiership log, when the league resumes next month.
Zongo and his former Wits teammate Mbulelo Mabizela, who signed for the club yesterday, will be good additions to the Wilfred Mugeyi-coached side.
