The Nedbank Cup quarterfinal tie between Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport United, could be moved from FNB Stadium to Dobsonville.
It was reported by the Siya crew late last month that Chiefs’ final ‘home’ games in the PSL may have to be moved to Polokwane due to a pitch overhaul at FNB Stadium, and it seems that this week’s clash with Mpumalanga Black Aces could be their last game at their first choice venue this season.
According to Siya sources, Dobsonville is being earmarked as a venue for the Nedbank game so that the Amakhosi don’t have to travel all the way to Polokwane for a ‘home’ game.
Chiefs have a difficult few weeks ahead of them now following the weekend defeat to title-challengers, Mamelodi Sundowns, and can’t afford to drop any more points between now and the end of the season.
Stuart Baxter’s side play host to high-flying Aces at 19h30 on Wednesday night.
