In fact, nine of the 10 most highly-valued over 30s are currently playing their football with the Amakhosi or Masandawana, while the other player – Musa Nyatama – Is contract to Orlando Pirates and is ranked eighth.
This is according to German website, Transfermarkt.com, who have Itumeleng Khune and Anele Ngcongca as the two most valuable players in the Premier Soccer League over the age of 30, with the duo (both 31) valued at £1.13m and £1.08m respectively.
Denis Onyango, 34, comes in at third with his value of £900,000, with his teammates – Ricardo Nascimento and Tiyani Mabunda – in fourth and fifth with values of £720k and £675k.
The other players who make the top 10 currently are Daniel Akpeyi, Jeremy Brockie, Hlompho Kekana and Willard Katsande, with the lowest value of any of the top 10 players sitting at £585k at present.
