Kaizer Chiefs’ physio, Dave Milner, says that they’re waiting for the results of MRI scans on Knowledge Musona and Siphiwe Tshabalala.
The Siya crew reported yesterday that the duo had undergone scans on their respective injuries and that Chiefs were currently unsure whether they would make this weekend’s Soweto Derby or not.

Musona picked up a shoulder injury after scoring the Amakhosi’s equaliser against Free State Stars in the Telkom Knockout last weekend and while it was originally thought that he had suffered a dislocation, the crew has been informed that this is not the case.
Meanwhile, ‘Shabba’ picked up an ankle injury in the same game and is also not certain to make the game against archrivals, Orlando Pirates, on Saturday.
Speaking to Chiefs’ official website, Milner said, “We are examining the extent of the injuries to Musona and Tshabalala. We will be guided by the MRI scan results to determine if Musona will undergo a late fitness test before the Derby on Saturday.”
Meanwhile, Kaizer Motaung Junior’s knee injury is still under examination and Jimmy Jambo has begun light training with his teammates.
