Both Chiefs and Ajax confirmed on their websites earlier this week that a fee had been agreed upon for the attacking midfielder, although it was explained that his personal terms are yet to be finalised.
At the time his representative, Alfred Phiri, told the Siya crew that the player hadn’t even met with Chiefs, that he currently had an overseas club showing interest and that he was currently weighing up his options.
Now Phiri has confirmed that Chiefs have offered Manyama a three-year deal, but that there has been no decision made just yet.
He said, “There was a small meeting over the phone yesterday, and Chiefs have offered a three-year contract to Lebo. We haven’t made a decision as to whether to sign or not yet though.”
It’s thought that Manyama and his representative could give Amakhosi their answer tomorrow, although the 23-year-old is said to be keen on making a move abroad.
