When Kaizer Chiefs take on Polokwane City in the Telkom Knockout next week, they will attempt to improve on last year’s TKO performance.
Despite flying high in the league at this point last season, Stuart Baxter’s men were knocked out of the tournament in the first round, losing 3-2 to Wits at Bidvest Stadium.

However, as Baxter prepares his side to take on the PSL newbies from Polokwane, he will be confident that his side can go at least one step further this year.
The game will be the first ever meeting of the two sides in the tournament, and while the Amakhosi will be eager to follow up their MTN8 exit with a win, City will be high on confidence following their first victory of the season in the game against Ajax Cape Town last week.
