However, since moving to Naturena, the youngster has struggled to break into Stuart Baxter’s first team and it has long been reported that he could be sent out on loan in order to find regular game time and gain some valuable experience.
His representatives, QT Sports, have now confirmed that he will spend the season on loan with Amabhubesi.
Hlongwa made his debut for Thanda against Blackburn Rovers last weekend but started from the bench in their recent 1-0 victory over Vasco da Gama.
The forward will be hoping to use his loan spell to find his scoring form so that he can go back to Naturena next season and fight for a first team place.
