Kaizer Chiefs appear to be in for an action-packed month of October as the club could potentially play five competitive fixtures during this period.
Chiefs’ first test comes in the form of a Telkom Knockout last-16 clash against Polokwane City on October 5. The action gets underway at 20h15 at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Just over a week later the Glamour Boys will go head-to-head with Bloemfontein Celtic in the Macufe Cup on October 13.
The always hotly-contested game takes place during the Fifa week for international matches. The match begins at 15h00 at the Free State Stadium.
If Chiefs beat Polokwane City in their last-16 Telkom Knockout clash, the club will then be in the draw for the quarterfinals of the competition which are due to take place on October 19.
Just three days later Stuart Baxter’s charges take on Golden Arrows in an Absa Premiership encounter. This game takes place at the Moses Mabhida Stadium at 19h30.
To conclude what appears to be a hectic month for the club, Chiefs take on fierce rivals Orlando Pirates on October 26 in a PSL encounter. The start of this much-anticipated grudge match is 15h30. It's not yet known who the match officials will be for this match.
Despite the busy schedule of matches that lies ahead, Chiefs' captain Itumeleng Khune feels confident that the club can overcome any obstacles.
