Kaizer Chiefs’ injured duo of Siphiwe Tshabalala and Lehlohonolo Majoro could both make their returns in this month’s Telkom Knockout quarterfinals.
The Siya crew previously reported that ‘Shabba’ would probably miss just one game due to his muscle injury, while the extent of Majoro’s foot infection was as yet unknown.
The Amakhosi have now confirmed that both players are likely to be available for selection when Chiefs take on either Free State Stars or Mpumalanga Black Aces in the TKO.
Speaking on Majoro’s injury ,the club’s physio Dave Milner told Chiefs' official website, "Major' had a sore on his foot which became infected. It caused him pain and he was battling to run. He will be back in action tomorrow (Wednesday)."
Chiefs beat Polokwane City 3-0 in the Telkom Knockout first round last week, however they will have to wait to see the outcome of tonight’s encounter between Orlando Pirates and Aces to find out which team they will face in the quarterfinals.
Should Pirates win, they will face Golden Arrows, with Ea Lla Koto then hosting the Amakhosi. However, if Aces triumph, Stars will take on Arrows while AmaZayoni host Chiefs.
The TKO quarterfinals will be held on the weekend of the 19th and 20th of October.
