The future of Kaizer Chiefs winger Abia Nale remains in doubt, with the club eager to receive a transfer fee for his services.
It was recently reported that the Amakhosi had placed the 26-year-old on their transfer list, after he had become surplus to requirements at the club. However, according to a source close to the PSL champions, his departure may not be an easy one.
The source explained that Nale had requested that Chiefs hand him his clearance so that he could begin his search for another club, although it seems his request was turned down.
This means that, should any club want to land the midfield man, they will have to open negotiations with his current team rather than just with the player.
It is well known that Ajax Cape Town, with whom Nale spent the later stages of last season, are keen to land the player on a permanent basis. However, they may be put off by a big price tag.
Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates will clash on July 27, with the title of 2013 Carling Black Label Cup champions up for grabs.
