Kaizer Chiefs say that their opening CAF Champions League game against Black Africa of Namibia is still set to take place in Johannesburg.
There were reports in the media yesterday that the Namibian side had been instructed that they would face Chiefs at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban, though the Amakhosi insist this is not the case.
Vina Maphosa, the club’s Corporate Communications Manager, explained that, as far as they are concerned, the game will take place on Saturday evening at FNB Stadium in Soweto as originally planned.
Stuart Baxter’s side will be hoping to get off to a good start in Africa this season before they make the trip to Namibia next weekend to try and finish the job and make it through to the next round.
The Chiefs game begins at 20h00, while Orlando Pirates take on Mamelodi Sundowns in the PSL the same evening at Orlando Stadium, also in Soweto.
