Chiefs Debutant Must Wait, Shabba Back

Kaizer Chiefs stalwart, Siphiwe Tshabalala, is expected to return to the matchday squad for the first time in four months today, but Keagan Buchanan will have to wait.
‘Shabba’ hasn’t turned out for the Amakhosi since the defeat to Chippa United at the end of their last campaign after undergoing a knee operation in the offseason, although he scored in the Multichoice Diski Challenge last weekend.
According to Siya sources, the 31-year-old has made Steve Komphela’s 18-man squad for tonight’s clash against Highlands Park, although he is only likely to be on the bench and not in a starting berth.
Meanwhile, Buchanan, who is also recovering from knee surgery, will not get his debut in Tembisa tonight, but is expected to be fully fit by the time the Glamour Boys face Free State Stars at the end of the month.
Chiefs take on Allan Freese’s side as they look to bring a six-game winless run in the Absa Premiership to an end, and they will be hoping that some magic from their club captain – even if it’s from the bench – can help them do that.
