New Kaizer Chiefs coach Giovanni Solinas was in no mood to discuss transfers following his side's 1-1 draw with Mamelodi Sundowns.
The Amakhosi got their 2018/19 league campaign off to a relatively positive start following a 1-1 draw with Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday.
It was an exciting game that saw Ramahlwe Mphahlele open the scoring for Chiefs before Ricardo Nascimento equalised from the penalty spot for Sundowns.
When asked about future signings, Solinas was quick to shut down any rumours or talk.
“I don’t speak about the market. I only speak about the players I have in the squad.
"I want to respect my players. With the market, you can speak to Bobby (Motaung), the football manager,” Solinas told SuperSport.
Solinas admits his side could have won the game, but overall he is happy with the Amakhosi’s showing.
“It was an intense game. I am very satisfied. My players played very well against a very strong team,” Solinas told SuperSport.
“Sundowns play very good football. It is a pity we didn’t win because we missed two, three opportunities to score. We could have won the game, but I am satisfied with the performance.
“But we need to improve in our fitness because Sundowns started the season early because they played the African Championship league. Their fitness at the moment is much better than ours. I am confident for our future.”
