Solinas reveals he was pleased with the way his side defended against AmaZulu,, who put three goals past Mamelodi Sundowns last weekend.
“I’m very happy about the performance [and] the result. I think my players deserve to win this game, they played a beautiful game. So I’m happy for me, my players, the club and our fans,” the Italian told SuperSport TV after the match.
“Defensively the job is much better. The whole team is involved in the defensive job. They support each other. This is very important we play together.
“In the PSL every game is difficult, no easy game. So now we’ll have a two days off and we’ll restart the preparation for the next game.
The Italian added that competition in the squad is good for a club link Chiefs after he made six changes from the win over Free State Stars.
“We have a lot of players in the squad, we have a lot of good players. So the competition to play is very important. Every player can play this is good because Kaizer Chiefs is a big club. We don’t only need 11 players but we also need good players on the bench,” the Italian said.
