Kaizer Chiefs have finally opened up contract talks with defender, Tsepo Masilela, whose current deal expires at the end of June.
The 28-year-old full back is just one of a number of Chiefs players that will shortly see their contracts at the club run out shortly, although unlike Lehlohonolo Majoro, it seems that he is keen to extend his stay at Naturena.
The Glamour Boys recently tied down Willard Katsande on a new three-year deal at the club, and they will be hoping to do the same with Masilela in the near future.
Mike Makaab, Masilela’s representative, explained to the Siya crew, “We’ve entered into dicussions with Chiefs about his contract now. Nothing is completed as of yet, but we’re very hopeful that things will be completed in the near future.”
Josta Dladla, Siyabonga Nkosi, Keegan Ritchie and Knowledge Musona (loan) will all see their current deals expire in June, and it remains to be seen which of them will be handed new contracts at Naturena.
