Kaizer Chiefs have announced that they will embark on visits to some selected schools and universities ahead of their clash with Bloemfontein Celtic, in an Absa Premiership encounter.
The club’s Marketing Director, Jessica Motaung, explained the reasoning behind the club’s education initiative.
She told Chiefs’ official website, “The stopovers at the educational institutions are part of a broader Corporate Social Investment of the club. We will be accompanied by our main sponsor, Vodacom, in some of the stopovers.”
She added, “We will be spreading the message of 'Education is a key to the future' as well as encouraging the youth to partake in sports. In the process we will be exposing the Chiefs brand in learning and teaching communities. In order to develop the future we need to integrate all facets of human development.”
Motaung concluded, “Our approach is endorsing the fact that education and sports mix well in terms of integrated human development. We will use the opportunity to wish the learners the best of luck as they are about to write their final exams.”
The club also revealed some details about the programme.
