Bloemfontein Celtic have confirmed that they have exercised their options on Letladi Madubanya and Lennox Bacela. The two players have played an important role in the success of the team, including the triumphant run in Telkom Knockout.
Bacela’s future with the side has been in doubt over the past few weeks, with the player having been linked with a move to Mamelodi Sundowns and SuperSport United. However, the club has now indicated that he has extended his stay with the side.
Following successful negotiations between the parties concerned, Bacela will continue playing his football for Siwelele under the guidance of coach Clinton Larsen and his technical team, together with Madubanya who has also extended his stay.
Another Celtic player who recently signed a new deal with the current Telkom Knockout champions is Tsietsi Mahoa, as perviously reported on the Soccer-Laduma web and mobi-site.
“When we signed these players we had options to renew their contracts upon expiry dates, so we have exercised those options. This news means that Bloemfontein Celtic has secured its ties with three of its most important players.
“We are happy about the contribution these players have made to the club,” Celtic’s technical director Mich d’Avray told the club’s official website.
