Celtic Coach To Miss Crucial Downs Game
Celtic To Be Without Their Head Coach Against Sundowns
Bloemfontein Celtic have confirmed that the club will be without their head coach for their upcoming game.
Celtic, who have been impressive under their Serbian coach Veselin Jelušic, will take on high flying Mamelodi Sundowns in their next game.
Siwelele have explained why their coach won’t be travelling to the Loftus Versfeld Stadium for the game against the PSL’s log leaders on Saturday.
“Bloemfontein Celtic’s Serbian mentor Veselin Jelušic won’t be on the bench when his charges play a crucial game against Mamelodi Sundowns this Saturday (16th December 2017). The much talked about tactician jetted out to his native country to renew his UEFA A coaching licence,” Celtic confirmed on the club’s official website.
Assistant coaches John Maduka and Lehlohonolo Seema are expected to lead the Mangaung outfit against Pitso Mosimane’s side.
“It is the policy of UEFA for coaches to renew their licences at a certain period of time,” explained Celtic CEO, Khumbulani Konco.
“Veselin’s certificate is due for renewal and unfortunately he had to leave at this critical stage. The positive thing is that his mentorship has allowed his assistants to learn through proper guidance and I can guarantee that his absence won’t entirely affect the team. Yes, his leadership and presence are paramount, but again, we have two phenomenal coaches in both John Maduka and Lehlohonolo Seema,” the CEO concluded.
The club further stated, “Jelušic’s visit to Serbia was long planned and accurate measures were done in making sure the team remains focused and ready for the next game. The coach had about two days to train the team after the club’s emphatic win in the Free State Derby against FS Stars on Sunday. Coach Veselin will be available for Celtic’s last match for the year against SuperSport, to be played at Dr Molemela stadium next week Wednesday (20th December 2017).”
