Bloemfontein Celtic midfielder, Keagan Buchanan, says he has no hard feelings about being dropped from the starting line-up in the weekend’s draw against AmaZulu.
The pint-sized player has been a revelation under Ernst Middendorp this season, and had been in the starting line-up for eight consecutive matches prior to the match against Usuthu. Buchanan has started 16 league games in total, and has been impressive in what is his first season in the PSL.
Middendorp employed a different line-up to the one he used against Witbank Spurs in the Nedbank Cup, with Buchanan sitting on the bench, and the two sides played to a 0-0 draw. However, the former Ajax Cape Town juniors’ player says he is not disheartened and will continue working hard.
“I mean, the coach knows why he didn’t start me and I respect his decision. He had his reason. I’m in good spirit. If the team is doing well, I am happy, and if I get the chance to play again I will grab it. I’ll do my best to regain my starting position. We should have won that game and our focus now is on the next game against Platinum Stars on Sunday,” he revealed.
