Bloemfontein Celtic have confirmed that Letsie Koapeng has signed for the Free State-based side, penning a loan deal.
Due to the tough competition for a starting berth in the Clever Boys’ striking department, the Diepkloof-born youngster couldn’t get a regular run last season, managing only three league starts.
However, he has done enough to impress Clinton Larsen, after undergoing a week-long trial at the club. He has been signed ahead of the likes of Thembinkosi Fanteni, Diyo Sibisi and Moeketsi Mvula, who have also been on trial at the Free State side, which speaks volumes on the talent he possesses.
Celtic’s technical director Mich d’Avray confirmed to the Siya crew, “Yes, we have signed the player on a one-year loan deal. We hope he does well and then take it from there.”
