Leopards ended a run of four game without a win after drawing 1-1 with the Absa Premiership leaders on Saturday afternoon.
"There's lot going through your head, at the moment a lot of emotions for the players as well, you played the log-leaders and you get one point at home, it's like winning the game but for me it's about did we play well?" Johnson told SuperSport after the match.
"I thought we kept the ball on the floor a little bit, I thought we gave away a silly goal but we were able to get back and do the best we can but for me I've been waiting for this from Black Leopards for about four games now since I'm here.
"It's a turning point for them and we can only build on it but we just happy to have one point that's all. It's [conceding early] been happening for the last three games but the thing I said to team was, 'Guys, we need to get over the first 20 minutes at least without conceding', because the last three games we conceded in the first 30 seconds of the game," he went on.
"Conceding two goals in the first five minutes of the game, so we were always chasing the game, we conceded a free-kick in the first 15 minutes and they scored and I said, 'Oh, we're back to where we belong', you know what I'm saying?
"Ja they came out, we held the log-leaders to a 1-1 draw, we're happy for that, we can build on that and good luck to Kaizer Chiefs," he added.
