As Mali prepare to take on the host South Africa in the quarter-finals of the Afcon Cup people back in that country are suffering from war between government and rebel troops.
But Mali coach Patrice Carteron believes that a win against Bafana Bafana will bring the people together in the war torn country.
He told the Siya crew that they know how big Bafana support is at Moses Mabhida but they are determined to do it for their country.
"The situation is tough back home. We are here to bring smiles on the faces of the many Malians and a win will work woners. We all know it is hard to play a host country under such tremendous support but we are prepared to die in the field of play and make everyone in Mali happy. South Africa have shown that they are not push overs in their group games and they have a good fighting team. We expect a tough but very good game," Carteron concluded.
