A confirmed to the Siya crew by Brandon Timmy from BT Football Recruitment Agency, Davids is scheduled to leave for Madrid in September, although he still needs assistance with funds to enable him to pursue his dream.
“We are a newly formed football agency in Cape Town called BT Football Recruitment Agency. Our objective is to assist players with opportunities at clubs in Spain and Slovenia. We’ve recently partnered up with a football agency based in Madrid and they provide players with opportunities at clubs in the second and third division. We would like to recruit players who we can take to Madrid where they can play against these clubs, so that if they perform, they can (secure) contracts,” said Timmy.

“However, as a newly formed agency, we are not in a position to sponsor players as yet. We get loads of messages from players from all over Africa asking us if we can assist them with opportunities to go to (abroad). But we are not in a position to do that at the moment and all we that we do is to conduct the trials and those who are successful need to pay for themselves. These opportunities are an investment that we are making into their football careers. I know that there are lots of scams going around where players are asked to deposit money into accounts and so on, but end up not getting the opportunities. We are very transparent in what we do and with our partnership with the agency in Europe. We are doing everything right and we don’t take money from players and cheat, and do all those things,” the representative said.
“Igshaan Davids will be leaving at the beginning of September, to the 12th and will play against teams in the second division. He will then go straight into the academy to be further developed. Lastly, on the 8th of May we will host trials again for players between the ages of 17 to 23 years, and registration is open for players who would like to participate in these trials,” he concluded.
