Cape Town City will be without one of their wingers for the rest of January after this past weekend’s events.
Craig Martin went in to the book twice against Bidvest Wits on Saturday evening in the Absa Premiership, which consequently saw him pick up his first red card booking of the season.
The 26-year-old versatile player, who predominantly plays on the right wing, will now miss the Citizens two upcoming Absa Premiership clashes due to suspension.
City will want to build on this past weekend’s 2-0 win over Wits, where they picked up the needed confidence boost to fight their way up the log.
However, another tough clash awaits the Citizens this weekend when they host relegation-threatened, Black Leopards on Friday evening, before travelling away to Maritzburg United.
Martin will miss these two clashes, although makes his return in February, when City kick-off in the first round of the Nedbank Cup competition.
