City Confirm Partnership With European Club

Cape Town City has confirmed a partnership with a European club with a view of sending players abroad in the coming years.

Following the selling of Dutch goalkeeper Peter Leeuwenburgh to FC Groningen in the Netherlands, City boss John Comitis hinted at plans to send more players abroad, with Kaizer Chiefs target Thabo Nodada one of the stars the Mother City outfit is keen on selling overseas.

As part of the plans to send more players abroad in the coming years, City confirmed an agreement with Serbian club FK Partizan, in a bid to secure overseas deals for talented players from the Mother City club.

“FK Partizan's ground breaking cooperation with Cape Town City Football Club is underway, as the delegation from Belgrade visits South Africa for the first time. The cooperation will see a number of elite African talents move to Europe in the coming years,” City announced in their statement on the club’s official Twitter account.
